Apply for a Student visa within the UK

The following page contains useful information and links to support your visa application from within the UK. Please read the information carefully and if you have any questions, contact the International Student Advisory team via email immigration@reading.ac.uk.

  • UKVI interview advice for Students
  • Translation requirements for visa applications

What to do if your Student visa application is refused

If your Student visa application made within the UK is refused by UKVI, you must inform the International Student Advisory Team as soon as possible by emailing us at immigration@reading.ac.uk. You must also attach a copy of your refusal notice (all pages).

We can then advise on the best course of action for you. It is very important that you seek advice as soon as possible as there is only a short period of time in which you can ask UKVI for an administrative review of your application.

It is unlikely that you will be able to continue with your studies if your application has been refused.
