Essentials Diversity & Inclusion

Diversity & Inclusion

Discover what we're doing to improve representation, champion diversity and enhance support for underrepresented groups.

Our commitment to diversity

The University of Reading has a proud history of diversity and inclusion but we know there is always more that can be done. We want to be the place where every student fulfils their full potential.

To learn more about our commitment to diversity, you can read about our equality targets for staff and students and our charter marks and awards.

Want to get involved? Here’s how

There are lots of ways to join the conversation about diversity and inclusion. Inclusion Consultants are current students helping to create a more inclusive university by collaborating with staff. Student Engagement Ambassadors are content creators who use their voice to highlight issues and share experiences through social media.

Your Reading Students' Union have a full time Inclusion and Communities Officer and 11 Part-time Officers who represent and work to amplify student voice, offer networks, support, and initiatives during your time at Reading.
