Essentials Careers Placements Boot Camp
PPY Bootcamp is back! Part 1 students, Tuesday 6th June 1-5pm, Join the Placements Team for a half day of workshops to help you get placement ready!

Professional Placement Year Boot Camp for part 1 students

Tuesday 6th June, 1-5pm, location upon booking

During the afternoon you will:

  • Understand how the placement year works (recruitment cycles, recruitment, and selection methods).
  • Discover how to navigate the support available to you, with some top tips from previous placement students 
  • Find out how to gain experience without experience (using your summer wisely). 
  • Learn how to find a placement that suits you / your placement search.
  • Gain insight into CVs, cover letters and applications for placement.
  • Leave feeling confident and prepared to apply for placements when you return in Year 2

What's in it for me?

This 4-hour interactive session will help prepare you for each stage of the placement recruitment process and give you the opportunity to learn alongside your peers from other subjects in the same Placement Year cohort. Refreshments will be available during and throughout the event. 

Who is it for?  

Part 1 students enrolled on, or thinking about transferring to a placement year programme.
