Useful services on campus

To help you get settled into campus life, here are some useful services and facilities available to you:  

  • Places to eat and drink - There are loads of delicious food and drink options for you to try across all UoR campuses. Check out the UoR Hospitality website for more information about the cafes, pubs, bars and casual dining options available to you, and find out more about the Clever Cuisine Meal plans available to all UoR students. Reading Students' Union also offers places for you to eat, drink and shop - try the tasty bagels, bubble teas, loaded fries and more! 
  • Your Campus Card - With your campus card you can access your halls of residence, access PC for things like printing, access the library and borrow books, and more. For more information about your campus card, and the full list of places you can use your campus card, check out the Campus Card webpage. 
  • Need to post something? The University Postal Service is based in the basement of Whiteknights House, Room B01 and offers a number of UK and International mail services, with student discounts available. Opening times and more information on using this service can be found on the Postal Services webpages.
  • Cash machines on campus - If you need to get cash out on campus, there is an AMT on Whiteknights campus outside the co-op. There are also a number of bank branches within Reading town centre and the local area. For advice on opening a bank account in the UK, check out the International Student webpages.
  • Have friends visiting, or need to stay near Whiteknights campus? Venue Reading have obtained preferential hotel rates for anyone visiting the University who needs to stay close to campus.
