We have been offering double master's programmes with MGIMO since 2014. Students are able to study one year at each institution - receiving two degrees. As part of the course, you will be able to study English at MGIMO and Russian at the University of Reading, as preparation for your studies.

Double master's in governance and global affairs and security studies

At MGIMO, the MA Governance and Global Affairs provides both Russian and international students with the necessary skills required for employment in international organisations. 

This course is designed to help graduates embrace their role as global citizens who are able and willing to be part of an international, multicultural environment.

The course provides students with a profound knowledge about contemporary politics, international diplomacy, governmental and legal systems, economics and international relations and security, with focus on Russia.

At the University of Reading, the programme will give you an excellent grounding in preparation for a PhD, or for a research career in think tanks, government departments or non-governmental organisations. The master's is suitable for students with an interest in international relations and contemporary issues of international security. 

The programme gives you the freedom to tailor the course to suit your particular research interests. You will also write a specialist research dissertation in consultation with an expert supervisor.

Double LLM in Law

At MGIMO you will study international financial law at the prestigious International Law School, founded in 1949. 

The school trains diversified specialists in international law for the diplomatic service and government bodies, as well as for legal departments of large corporations and small companies.

At the University of Reading you can study:

  • LLM International Commercial Law
  • LLM International Commercial Law with International Banking law and Financial Regulation.

The interdisciplinary programmes are taught by the School of Law and the ICMA.

ICma DOUBLE MASTERS in international finance at Henley business school

At MGIMO you will study MSc International Finance at the prestigious School of International Economic Relations. 

The aim of the program is to train the finance specialists with knowledge of the specifics of international financial relations, monetary and financial transactions, corporate finance, international financial consulting.

Graduates of the programme have developed:

  • advanced analytical tools to find a balance between risk and profitability
  • predicted and proposed solutions to counter macroeconomic shocks and their impact on the activities of financial intermediaries
  • used modern tools for risk analysis, assessment and hedging
  • constructed a risk profile for new operations and services.

Double master's in entrepreneurship and international business

At the University of Reading you will study either MSc Entrepreneurship or MSc Marketing with specialisations to match your field of interest.

At MGIMO you will study MSc International Business which includes modules in marketing and entrepreneurship. 

The aim of the programme at MGIMO is to train managers at an international level with the theoretical and practical knowledge and skills needed in the field of modern international management, entrepreneurship and marketing. 

After completing the programme, graduates will:
